it would be nice to enter a clock that shows the playing time. And then there's one on the server, another in the chat, the third in the mail ..

If you mean the current server time, you can always use /time in chat to see it.
If you mean the time you have played in total (similar to /played in other games), I don't think there's really a point for this kind of game, but I might be mistaken... the only think that might be of interest if the date you started playing."It's nice to be important,

the /time command doesnt work,
here is a screenshot from s1.sfgame.jp:
seconds after using the command i wrote something in the chat,
you can see the command is completely off.

For instance, I live in Greece and play on a UK server - my time has 2 hours difference with the server, which is reflected in chat messages -- just created this, /time and chat message have a few seconds difference:
