    percentage of blocking an attack

I dont know how the percentage of blocking is calculated, but when a shield tells it has 25% block, and it doesnt block for an entire fight of over 10 strikes... it seems abit odd to me..

The dungeon opponents seem to block alot more often then the player does.. the system doesnt seem fair in this at all.

When the opponent of a warrior is a hunter, the amount of times an evade happens seems unfairly more often then the amount of times a block occurs...
now its obvious the amount of dexterity a hunter has effects this..

Is any stat effecting the amount of times a block occurs? and how does this scale?

A scout evades with a chance of 50%, a warrior blocks an attack with a chance of 25%. However, mages will always hit you as their attacks cannot be evaded or blocked.

Dungeon monsters don't block more (it is not in the code)...it is bad luck if your shield doesn't protect you as often as it should.

The system is not unfair - each class has its pros and cons. Scouts evade often but warriors have better armour and higher constitution. If you play a warrior - go for constitution. Mages can neither evade nor block but their attacks will always hit.

Hell no dont go for Constitution...go for Strength. Ive tested both Luck and Const alot and a War in 100% Strength gear will succeed ALOT more than one who has some or most or all const or luck.
      Stat Priorities:
      1) Strength hands down
      2) Constitution if u must have a 2nd stat
      3) Luck
      4) Dex (them damn scouts hurt when they can nearly always hit and u can rarely hit them)
      5) Int (Constitution is more of a counter imo than int is for Mages)

oh, and i do kind of feel it is kind of unfair. you say scouts evade 50% and warriors 25%, but ive seen scouts Quite Oftenly evade 10, 12, 13, 15 times IN A ROW....Strength of warrior nearly equal to Dex of Scout, but WAY too much avoidance. Is there some kind of cap on evade/blocking where a character can evade # of times before a guaranteed hit allowed?

Mages get Guaranteed hit and their power is MONSTROUS. When dueling a mage its pretty much a shootout. Killing the mage before they kill you.

If i had to rate classes by usefulness, id go
      1) Mage
      2) Scout
      3) Warrior

I don't agree on this. Constitution is a warrior's special ability. The formula for hit points is constitution * 5 * (level +1)! Scouts only have ... * 4 and mages * 2.

I'm not talking about a warrior with 3000 const. and 2000 strength but const. is far more important for warriors than for the other two classes. 3000 strength and 2000 const. is ok but it shouldn't be 3500 / 1500. I'd recommend 2800 / 2200 in this case.

i dunno. To me it seems the higher strength is, the more a warrior is able to block. Taking no damage seems more important than having more life.

The shield has a fixed blocking chance of 25% regardless of strength.

Are the coding of mage monsters coded differently then? Because I fought one earlier, and Evaded 2 spells in a row. It bewildered me, and a friend of mine linked me to this thread.

Then if you evaded a monster it wasn't a mage it was either a scout or warrior. I know they have changed some of the dungeon monsters class so it is possible that they have done the same thing with quest monsters.

Interesting concept... a Warrior or Scout monster who uses a wand. Where can I get one?

don't go by the weapon go by what it does; does it evade or block and if you can see there stats the main stats will tell you which class it is.
