I love that kind of games. If they make it like Monkey Island, Deponia it will be success.

When (which month) will the game get released to the public?
Could this be a first person game?
        Or like WoW, runescape,...

No date given but my guess (don't quote me on that!) is some time in 2018. At the moment it is only in an early development stage.

It won't be like WoW but a point and click adventure game in the vein of The Book of Unwritten Tales or Monkey Island. You walk around, talking to people, solving puzzles, using items to progress in the story.

You don't run around and fight in a 3D world in first (your typical FPS game) or 3rd person (The Witcher 3). Don't expect fighting or action in general but a clever adventure with a ton of humor and fun!

              Just received new details!

"After announcing the S&F Adventure Game we have received many positive messages and also questions. Here's some more information for you:

              1) The game will be a point and click adventure game in the vein of Book of Unwritten Tales and Monkey Island.

              2) It isn't an update for S&F but a unique, different game in S&F's universe (world, characters, artstyle).

              3) It won't be free to play but you can get it as a download or boxed version.

              4) At the moment it is still in an early development stage and it will be relased in late 2018!

              5) There will be a Kickstarter in October! Backers will be able to play before the official release and also get special gifts such as digital artbooks or a physical mini of in-game characters.

Stay tuned for more information soon!

I hope it will be much more Money Island (1,2,3) than Book of Unwritten

I hope also puzzles will be very hard and challenging

                        The Kickstarter campaign is live!

You can either back the game only (with alpha and beta access) or pay more for awesome rewards, for example S&F figurines, a physical copy of the game or even your joke or character in the game!

Shouldn't this be in German since its a German game?

Also, why pander for money? It is a turnoff ...

Less than 5% of the video actually shows off the gameplay

Typically, KS campaigns showcase the product instead of utilizing reverse psychology.

I'm sure they'll raise enough money, but I think a different approach would yield a higher ROI

It will be available in German and English and some other languages (I'm pretty sure). The trailer is in English as it is the international language for all audiences alike.

Kickstarter is the way to go. King Art has funded its games there and other big companies also use it, both for computer games, board games or tabletops. Basically, a campaign does not only raise the money but also tells the devs if people are interested in a product or not. The best campaign was "watch me make potato salad for 10$" which became highly popular.

In the description of Kickstar's post says that:
