Upgrading tower companions

I was wondering what would be the benefit of upgrading your tower companions, now that their stats are based on your own stats only (http://forum-int.sfgame.net/showthread.php?t=4746)

Good question. I suppose the companions stats are also relative to the (ratio companion level) / (main character level)
I will look next time I level up though :-D

critical chance and hp calculate lvl.

well the reason would be that the base stat still goes up and not 100% sure but I would think the points gained from raising your stats would carry over with each upgrade.

do not forget that crit chance is based on the opponents level as well!!

if you are facing an opponent with 3000 luck, he'll have 50% crit chance against a lvl 150 companion, but only 37.5% against a lvl 200 companion.

Just remember to factor that in
