My Assassin is level 158 and all I can say is that he's neither overpowered, nor under-powered. In fact, they've managed to do quite an impressive job in term of class balance for this one.

An Assassin has two weapons with slots for gems but a gem only adds the normal gem bonus while the weapon gem of all other classes counts twice (to compensate for the two gems of the Assassin).
    Therefore, he is not stronger.

When people say that assassin is harder is not because of the balance (like warriors), is because of the money you have to invest. Your idea that "one good weapon and one bad weapon deals more damage than a scout" is 100% wrong. First, assassin has warrior weapons with the same amount of damage as warriors. Second, if you take a closer look at the assassin's damage formula, you see that's (Weapon 1 + Weapon 2) * 0,625. Is almost half the damage of your two weapons, and don't forget that you have warrior weapons. So, you have just a little bit more damage than a warrior. And that's because you have the life of a scout instead of a warrior - if instead of 0,625 you had 0,5 then you'd have the damage of a warrior with the life of a scout. Even with the dodge %, that'd be balanced as assassins would be weaker.
To finish about the gems, if you see every other class (mage, battlemage, scout and warrior) their weapon's gem has x2 bonus, in contrast to the assassin.

Too lazy to type a proper answer (i'm on phone atm),but gonna asnwer to the gem thing atleast.

NO , they aren't supposed to be stronger. Sure they have 1 more gem, but take a look at the stats of the gems in scout / mage / warrior weapons, they are giving 2x more stats. So all in all it's exactly the same.

    Assassin stuff questions

    Hello community,

I have a few questions for the assassin class. I have not played for some time, so this class is new to me and even though I tried, I did not manage to find the answers I am looking for. Just for the record, I realize all classes are meant to be balanced and I believe they are balanced in some way. But there are some things I have not seen explained and it's bugging me ^-^

As a former only scout player, for the first look, assassin seems to be the better option to play now. Please explain to me why I am wrong, coz I know I am since balance is a thing, but I just can't see it.

They both have same armor/constitution stuff, the same evade %, but the assassin has 2 weapons. So, where is the catch?
    1. Having two weapons means he can have an additional slot for a gem, so he has better bonuses, so he is stronger, right?
    2. Having two weapons means he can deal more damage than scout, right?
    3. I saw people mentioning: "it is more difficult to find 2 good weapons and since scouts need only one, they are better" And I am like, where is the logic? Two weapons should deal more damage. Even if only one is very good and the other one is worse, the damage output should be higher, right?
    4. In the new update, I saw that assassins are now even going to repel the fireballs of the new class, that is a nice buff actually, so that means, he was so weak he needed an actual buff? What is so weak about him? I cannot seem to find it ^-^.
    5. What is his actual damage output compared to scout's? Two weapons + bonus gem slot should mean, assassin's is higher but is it true?
EDIT: 6. When assassin crits, does it crit with both attacks?

I looked through the forum before writing this post but didn't find the full answers, that's why I am asking.

PS.: I would like to remind that I realize that assassin is not OP, as I mentioned before, I just wanna know why, since my brain is telling me he should be.
