Event pets on Christmas event

Last year during xmas or new years event (can't remember) many pets were available (normally available on special occasion). I would keep my hopes up during new years (next week).

No, you can't as it is a special event and does not count as an epic etc. event although it also has the bonus.

Can i find a pet, that can normally be found on epic event, on the christmas event when there are all the events combined?
