PVP bugged? (1-hit kill)

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought the new PVP calculations were such that a player could not 1-hit kill another player in round 1 turn 1 ...

But that's exactly what I witnessed happen

You can see here, Caryfukk is Rank 12 and TONY is Rank 13 in the International HOF



The battle opens with Caryfukk attacking first and he crits and kills TONY

I think it wasnt stated that this can not happen at all, the new system for gladiator in pvp fights makes it only so this situations occur less often.

There is no mechanism that actively prevents this as far as i know and how should such a mechanism even function if for example a player level 100 fights against someone lvl 400?

It's still absolutely possible that a high damage player defeats a low live player with the first hit, especially in mage vs mage

Yup, one shotting is possible.

But as Pomurnik has shown in another thread, the Gladiator bonus is probably active in pvp fights.
