    Not totally.

    About warriors:

First, warriors can wear "plate" equipment, while druid is limited to "leather", gives less base armor.
Also, druids use staves and not one-handed weapons. In Bear mask they can parry (block) but do not wear a shield, thus missing some stats.
And the formula for damage is :
    - Warrior: weapon * (1+STR/10)
    - Druid in bear mask: weapon * (1+ INT / 10) * 0.44
There is a divider here to lower the overall damage, probably to compensate the fact that staves have a higher base damage output.

    About scouts:

I don't have a scout character so I cannot compare, but the damage formula for druids in cat mask is :
weapon * (1+ INT / 10)*0.56 , check what it is on a scout to ensure it's the same or not.

I've been playing with it, currently I'm level 200+ and he doesn't look as good as it looked in the lower levels. The problem is that I'm getting very few epic items from dungeons that my Druid can use. Most Intelligence items can be used by my mage tower mate but not by the Druid, since he uses scout armour, but most of the scout armour boosts dexterity, so my equipment isn't progressing at the same pace than my Druid, and he's starting to slow down his growth markedly

Exactly. That's why me (and some other players) hate this class, it completely gives you no reason to play scout and/or warrior.

Didn't really have time to look after it yet so would appreciate if some1 would answer it.

The druid with masks on are exactly the same as a scout or warrior with same gear?

I mean i know they act similar, what i would like to make sure if the dmg / hp etc calculations are exactly matching? So with same gear on the same level, i would have the exactly same stats and results as a scout or a cat masked druid?
(Or same as a warrior with bear mask)
    Thanks in advance.

No, you can switch between an int-based scout and warrior. You can also decide to fight without a mask, but it does not make sense as you are really weak without it. Basically, you only start without a mask and should always wear one at level 10+.

The idea of the druid, I thought, was to be able to switch from one mask to another between fights, bearing certains penalities compared to the "real" classes of course.
So in short, I have an INT scout starting level 25?

The no mask option is not used but before level 10.

"Druid: Intelligence class with Mage weapon, wears Scout equipment. Has Bear Mask (level 10+) to get Warrior-like Skills and Attributes and Cat Mask (level 25+) to get Scout-like Skills and Attributes."

started a topic What's your opinion about the Druid?

What's your opinion about the Druid?

    Greetings everyone,

I'm currently experiencing the new class (Druid) and leveled one to 31 so far.

I don't see a lot of documentation about that new class so here are my findings:
    • Weapons of choice are staves (like mages)
    • Armor is "leather-based" (sharing it with scouts and assassins)
    • Damage is computed on INT
    • Masks:
      • None (level 1): dmg = weapon * (1+ INT / 10) * 0.33 ; life = STA * 2 * (level +1); Armor limit 10%. No apparent additional benefit
      • Bear (level 10): dmg = weapon * (1+ INT / 10) * 0.44 ; life = STA * 5 * (level +1); Armor limit 50% + armor bonus +100%. Warrior benefits: Block vs. physical attacks
      • Cat (level 25): dmg = weapon * (1+ INT / 10) * 0.56 ; life = STA * 4 * (level +1); Armor limit 25%. Scout benefits: can dodge attacks

I really thought the "no-mask" version was supposed to be something akin to a mage, but clearly the damage output is totally unworthy, and there seems to be no benefit that I managed to get.

So you are stuck with an int-based staff-toting warrior, or an int-based staff-toting scout. The scout (cat mask) is pretty tough and awesome so far, but then again it's the low levels.

Anyone with any other observation on the matter?
