Guild pet strategy

Can someone enlighten me on what affects the strength of the guild pet and outcome of fight vs Hydra?

I understand the level of the individual guild pet has a direct influence on the stats of the pet.
How does the class of the individual guild members affect the stats of the guild pet?

The game manual says:

"Hint: Just like Characters, Pets have Classes as well (Warrior, Scout, Mage). In case a Guild mainly consists of a certain class, the Pet should be chosen accordingly for maximum effectiveness. Example: a Guild with mostly Mages should choose a Mage Pet such as Tinck."


How does this work? Are the guild pets stats altered by the potions the character is affected by?
Also - does the habitat (water, light, earth, shadow, fire) of the guild pet have any influence on the match vs the hydra?

Just select a pet and fight against the Hydra. Take a look at the attributes. If it has 10k strength, 12k dexterity but 20k intelligence BUT the pet is NOT a mage, change it and pick a mage pet. Always select a pet whose class and primary attribute matches your guild's total highest attribute.

Well - I just got more confused, but maybe because I am not the guild leader so it is not me selecting the pet.
However, from what I can see the pets class matches their distribution of stats. I dont see a pet where int is the highest but where the pet class is not mage.

And still, I am looking for the answer to my question:

Why choose a pet whose class matches the guilds highest total attribute? What difference does it make to a guild pet and the fight vs the hydra?

Also, does it matter which habitat is selected?

No, it does not change. Your pet's attributes are your guild members' total. The guild pet is just an empty graphic with no attributes but a class.

If your pet has 10k strength, 16k dexterity and 12k intelligence you can pick any class...but the primary attribute is important for dealing damage. As you have 16k dexterity in this example you should pick a scout pet. The scout pet attacks with 16k dexterity but a warrior pet will only have 10k strength or a mage pet will have only 12k intelligence...resulting in less damage.

I think I finally follow you :-). Let me try to summarize my understanding.
The total sum of stats of the guild members is summed up for each attribute (str, dex etc) and form a basis for the stat of a given guild pet.
Example - the sum is 1mill-st 2-mill dex, 1,5 mill int, 1 mill con, 0,5 mill luck
Now, this is the basis for the stats of the guild pet. The level of the guild pet will determine the overall "power" of it, but the stat distribution will follow the distribution of the sum of the guild members stats. As an example, the guild pet could then have the following stats
Example - 20000 st, 40000 dex, 30000 int, 20000 con, 10000 luck
The point is that these stats would be the same for this guild, regardless of which pet is selected.
Following the example above, it would be wise to select a pet that is fighting using the primary skill - thus in this example it would be a scout pet.
