?? I hope you understand Im in the 300's.. and the only time I see the extra drops is mostly during special events..
I dont know what the percentage for drops is, but its abit low, if you ask.. Which is fine, I dont care much anymore..

I propose you should play for time.

If you're a non-shroomer, then the most important item in the game is mushrooms.

With every quest (that does not have an item reward) you have a chance at receiving mushrooms (and other items like fruit).

Playing for XP will get you more XP and less Gold
Playing for GOLD will get you more XP and less Gold
But Playing for TIME will get you a balance of both, and more chances at receiving more mushrooms (and fruit, etc.)

So, for non-shroomers, I suggest playing the shortest quests possible without items as rewards.
Iv always found inconsistency in some of this..
we get Rocks, shrooms, Wood, those Blue stones for dungeons, fruit for pets, All kinds or Armour and suit materials(which if you person cant wear, has to be converted to one for your 3 man team, with only a 2/3 chance as they NEVER make something for you or 1 of your team..)(and 90% chance its LUCK)...

We get allot of things, but its generally on special days, otherwise it gets cut back allot.

That is a very good idea. As a non-shroomer with 3 characters over level 400, I would be interested in new ways. It's a known fact that with a 30% mount you get more mushrooms than with a 50% mount. But the quests are shorter with the 50% mount, so which one is better?

It's the first time I hear this, so it would be nice to get accurate info on whether or not this is true.

Once we know all chances to get shrooms, we could then calculate which mount is better and so on.

I don't believe that is the case.

I 100% agree with this. Exceptions are very good items/keys or fruits in quests.

XP vs Gold vs Time for Low Level Non-Shroomers

Its always been stated that you should go for XP before level 393 and go for gold after level 393 but I propose something entirely different.

I propose you should play for time.
