Agree here, the normal pets also get the critical strike bonus from gladiator.

I think the Guild Pet needs to take into account every bonus (Underworld Trainer) that every player has. Including if everyone has strike first scroll.

The main idea of introducing hydra feature was to enhance cooperation (or create cooperation), reanimate guild, make more team play etc. It didn't work, hydra didn't enhance anything, guilds are dead like it was before. This is not the way guild should look like (now it's only bunch of players that uses bonuses for their single player game).

I can only repeat myself, first hit is key for progress. It's the same with normal Dungeons. You simply can't win when you don't hir first, this goes only for mages! My s1 mage never won a higher dungeon fight without hitting first, same goes for Hydra later. This is the experience I've made in 2 guilds with guild pet as mage.

We play the same game aren't we?
So if I can make progress you can make progress too?

Or do you want a specifically adjusted guildpet just for ur guild because you're players are mostly mages, dont invest in the guildpet and/or quit the game before they're strong enough to make a difference?
If you play, like you said, on a 10 year old server and your guild doesnt manage to get over the 5th head than your guild is most likely not very very strong and/or active.

The hydra isnt meant to show daily progress for all I can say it seems intended that you may need months to get one head further.
I'm personally perfectly fine with this, my suggestion for a change would be that everyone fights automatically every day,
because I agree that it is tidious to make your attacks actively each day when you dont see much progress.

Just because YOU can make progress doesn't mean that I can do too! I'm in 2 very very strong and active guilds and none gets the 5th head so please don't take me for a fool. People get inactive and they get replaced with new players and they don't even level the guild pet because it's a) to expansive and b) doesn't make a difference because it doesn't matter if 5 people more hit the Hydra. If the Hydra hits first its over.

We can kill Hydra 7, others can kill Hydra 10+. So clearly you can make progress.

I need to take this one up again. Since October 2019 we're still on the 5th head. We simply can't make progress. Our Pet is a mage because the top 25 players are mainly mages. Therefore if the Hydra hits first the thing is over for the day. It'd help the progress a ton if Playa would set the reaction of the guild pet higher then the one from the Hydra. And no, our guild is not weak, we're Rank 4 with over 40 active members. Server is 10 years old therefore the guild pet level is quite high.

And of course still very important to me: Please give the guild pet his own picture! It's so lame the way it is.

I kind of...like the idea of pet being usable somewhere else.

What could be neat though, is to have Pet raids instead where you send certain element Pets against hydra...

Naturally that would need some testing as you suddenly get a lot of power vs one hydra (not a group of monsters like normal raid).

Really like your post, I guess it's really just opinion. I'm just a little bit salty because it is too simple for me, an extra artwork for the guild pet would've been already enough. But for example, like the Arena Manager, that's what I've returned for, really love this feature.

    objection! ^^

i can complete around 4 of the 5 quests and they are a nice extra XP income.
for me it's around 10 to 11 million XP. for arena fights i get barely 5 million.

i give it to you, it's not the biggest reward, but still a reward non the less.
also the pet gets stronger as your character does, as it's stats depend on your top 25 players. (i think it would have been better if it was all players, but meh.)

so increasing your char does also make your pet stronger. so basically you fight with your top 25 chars. =P
if you take it that way, your wish has already been granted. i can't remember if potions are working as well. at least flat stat potions. but even if they don't it's still every skill point you guys spent on your hero, the pet growth with it.

i agree that the initial mushroom costs are higher than for other content, but then again, you don't need to max the pet instant. you can upgrade it like once every 2 weeks from the free mushrooms you get. all it does is give you some more DMG/HP which falls off the further you go. important in the early levels, less important later levels.

yes you could have made it more rewarding or had some better mechanics, but that could be said for almost all content. like for the arena-manager. for me that is the wrong name for what we are doing there. i had the idea we would be managing/hiring gladiators and let them battle and train and such and yes, for me that would be way better content, but that doesn't mean the current content is bad. it's just different than you'd like it to be. a more fitting name would have been arena clicker or arena tycoon, then i would have had other expectations, instead of WTF is this crap? are you kidding me? but over the days i got to the runes and now I'm happy that i get the runes. =P

for me the guild pet is fine how it is. as far as i know, the higher you get in levels, the more the quest XP matter. so just try it out at level 500 or so, maybe you'll find it useful as well.

Imo the guild pet is just a content which comes from laziness. And the daily quest is the second biggest joke of a reward right after the 100 new raids. I can complete in average 2 quests per week. But that's not the point. The Hydra is awesome, I really like the idea but the guild pet is just a useless tool with 0 character and I won't pay a single mushroom to level it up for nothing but 2 daily quest per week.

there are 100 pets you can choose from so each guild can have a different guild pet. since it's a pet i don't see why it should have a different look?

and since the bonus of the pet is extra XP depending on how far you get i don't see the point why it would be useless, because it does increase your daily XP.
    am i missing something here?

Got your point. But then at least give the guild pet it's own picture. At the current state I have the feeling that the guild pet only exists so the devs can say "we implemented something from the community".

we already have raids. there is no point in creating a 2nd raid.
