The Kickstarter campaign is live! :) :rider:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...token=1314b263

You can either back the game only (with alpha and beta access) or pay more for awesome rewards, for example S&F figurines, a physical copy of the game or even your joke or character in the game! :)

Shouldn't this be in German since its a German game?

Also, why pander for money? It is a turnoff ...

Less than 5% of the video actually shows off the gameplay

Typically, KS campaigns showcase the product instead of utilizing reverse psychology.

I'm sure they'll raise enough money, but I think a different approach would yield a higher ROI

It will be available in German and English and some other languages (I'm pretty sure). The trailer is in English as it is the international language for all audiences alike.

Kickstarter is the way to go. King Art has funded its games there and other big companies also use it, both for computer games, board games or tabletops. Basically, a campaign does not only raise the money but also tells the devs if people are interested in a product or not. The best campaign was "watch me make potato salad for 10$" which became highly popular. :D

In the description of Kickstar's post says that:

What languages could be?

This topic is different from kickstarter, right?

Leander 11th October 2017 05:56 PM

Yes! Shakes & Fidget - The Game and Shakes & Fidget - The Adventure are two different games!!! ;)

Strider 11th October 2017 06:50 PM

I'm not saying KS is not the way to go, I just don't care for the approach of the video.

Its basically saying "Pay for us to be different" and not "let me showcase my product"

3 games with huge sucess they say...and still need fundraising?
Where do they spend the money?
I bet on the same place that shakes and fidget....not on frequent updates. Only on new servers because is more profitable.
Is like they are milking the cow untill therīs no more milk. They dont care for the "cow" only for their belly
And damn im(we are) starving for endless months xD

GIVE ALL THE MONEY yeah nice catch phrase . Made me cry.

P.S. WONDERFULL after more than a year my server has finaly tv advertisents...guess for what...

Games are expensive and not every company can take much risk. It is common that even medium-sized companies use Kickstarter. For example, Divinity 2 - Original Sin by Larian Studios was also funded in a KS campaign although the other games in the series were successful...and now 43k are playing the game on Steam.
