Fortress unintentional "pay to win"?
Hi today i,v seen that when you reach the lvl 3 fortress and unlock the mine you can produce gems instantly by spending "only" 6 mushrooms.
The problem is that in higher lvls and higher quality gems , they are worth probably even more money. The first one i won i got 500 000 gold+ (im lvl 362)

If i had tons of money i could be mining gold all day :/

Can you guys tell them to correct that fast before some dude with millioins in one day gets 500 base xD?

Yes, you can can a lot of gold BUT also more and more mushrooms are needed. The 6 :shroom: only apply to skipping the timer for the first time / mine level 1. The next step is 12 :shroom: and so on. Players who spend a lot of money on mushrooms should be rewarded. It's like that in every free2play game.

However, being among the top hall of fame rankings in Shakes & Fidget is more about hard work, dedication and activity and not just buying :shroom:. :)

Omg lol I would never expect someone to say "pay to win" for fortress, if anything for all, its exactly the opposite lol. Good luck spending 100 shrooms (or maybe more) at later levels just to get 1 hour cooldown on gems

What about lvl 1 gem mine with labourers quarters at lvl 15 with the 75% less time?
is 15 minutes (1 shroom skip) per gem so is like 20 shrooms per base. And at higher vlls the higher amout of gold you win so the lesss expensive it will be. at 390 1 gem can reach 750000 gold+
Yeah is still kinda pricey, but it could happen xD

11 mushrooms for beer, up to 10 mushrooms for wheel of fortune, 1 shroom for 1 gem (when someone follows the tactic you say), 25 mushrooms for 50% mount, without considering any gems for shop refreshing or dungeon tries.

You know many who would spend 1 mushroom for some extra gold? :P I don't.
Plus, i am level 384 and 1 gem gives me 700.000gold, thats a bit low if you ask me, considering i make more than 100million per day from questing :P

All in all, its nice, but i wouldn't bother spending shrooms on gem mining. A solution to your problem could be a cap at 10gems a day, simple as that

After seing this i take back my theory of gold farming.
Now it would take years and years for lvl 1 mine to payback the amount of resources :)

Wow - never seen a black gem before... What level is your mine? (and at what price can you sell your gems in the shop?)

dfps 22nd January 2016 08:05 PM

Is not mine. The dude has 250 total points in nothing very special since are others with 280 already. And has 480 knights in the guild.
Maybe it was only very very very lucky :p

slasker 22nd January 2016 08:46 PM

OK - TY. My fortress is level 269, and I dont think I am anyway near getting a black perl :-(. Could be the 480 knights doing the trick? We only have 245...

that gem might be a fake :P There was already one fake screenshot. And if anything, it should be based on level of your Gem Mine, not overall upgrades.
