For the assignment (cups) if you click out of the gamblers prompt after you place your bet it will skip the whole shuffling animation and have an outcome nevertheless, you just don't choose the cup. ...

It's a bug. A fix will be available tomorrow (Android) or in the next days (iOS - Apple has to approve every update and fix first).
