When you click Gem Mine, it brings up window with Search for Gems, upgrade, and Cancel. This could also work in case of Gold Mine. Click gives window Claim Gold, Upgrade, Cancel Construction.

My eyes still hurt and I've seen 3.0 just once. Why not keep the old look. Avatar, Hud, font. Equipment looks better.. well partially, most arts has this nasty glow.
