the ability to scroll back in chat, just the little we have is crazy when have full 50 members all active and alot chatting, lose connection to server, go back to game and not a clue whats going on. needs to be ability to go back a couple of hours or something. or chat is pretty useless

A longer chat history was already suggested a couple of times but according to Playa it is not possible because of increased server load.

Do you really thin this argument is valid now. I doubt that with no more than 1000 ACTIVE accounts we could overload server. My fingers wouldn't withstand that, either my keyboard.

On some servers that is the case but from what I have seen for the most part what is done for one server is done for all servers. that being the case I don't see them doing anything to chat for the reason that Leander said as some servers are pretty active still and for those server it could overload them.
