I like that someone takes his time and comes up with something.
![]() Personally, I'd skill a mage differently...wait, you say it is basic stats only without items...well, my example of a mage uses the totals. "level 200 INTELIGENCE - 1650 - 1700 CONSTITUTION - 1400 - 1500 LUCK same as CONSTITUTION" In my opinion the intelligence is too low. A value of 1700 is good if your level is way lower and your constitution is about 1000...same for luck. If the const. is 1500 an intelligence value of 2700 or better 3000 is recommended. A mage is a high damage dealer...he cannot use a shield and has no evasion...his only task in a guild is to deal as much damage as possible. ![]() What do others think?

I am no expert on mages, but to me it seems necessary to mention what pots you use.
If you have the shrooms to buy a PoEL, your stats may be quite a bit different from not having the PoEL. Also, cost/benefit should be considered. If the difference between INT and CON and Luck is too big, the highest Stat will cost too much to upgrade in relation to the others, Also, if the CON is too low, you die too quick. Surviving another blow, may make you do a little less damage, but you can make that extra hit (with the chance of an critical hit), causing more damage. Hope it make a tiny bit of sense! ![]() Also investing in secundairy stats (STR/DEX) may take the edge of opponents. |

I must admit I am quite confused.... You give some specific numbers for stats of mages, but what are your criteria for these numbers? For example you dont mention anything about dexterity and strength. I know that this will sound a bit strange to a lot of people in here, but it is EQUALLY important to raise these stats too. Having at level 200 1700 intel, 1500 const and 1500 luck, means your strength and dexterity will be very poor, which is totally wrong. You are useless against other classes (scouts - warriors), you are useless probably for your guildmates (since guild dungeons require spread stats so you can handle better any enemy) and you will be DEFINATELLY having problems with your personal dungeons when a boss scout or warrior appear... There is not a "success" recipe for stats, there is no "perfect stats distribution", the only thing that should matter for each player is what his next target is and focus on that.
My point here is that there can NEVER be a "perfect distribution of stats" as you imply in your guide, because that cannot happen due to the very generalized concept (as each player has different needs at different levels / guilds / personal dungeons etc). What you can do is keep some general rules in mind (things i mention here) in order to be more prepared for any kind of enemy that will come up, a fair distribution of stats should be no.1 target. I am not saying that you should have equally every stat ofcourse, keep high your three main stats (your class-stat, const and luck) but dont forget to keep high your "endurance" stats against other types of classes too Last edited by GeorgeKen; 23rd February 2012 at 11:31 AM. |

Umm, unless ur only fighting mages, dex and str are definitely important in all aspects of the game. Instead of set amounts though, i like percentage based:
Primary Stat (in this case Int) = 100% Secondary Stats (in this case Str and Dex) = 20% of your Int cost Constitution = 80% Int Cost Luck = 40% Int Cost |
