Hi,
i want to present a suggestion i recently made on the german forum: https://forum.sfgame.de/showthread.php?t=76794 The idea is rather simple: the max. gold you can get from a quest should depent on the questlength. What i mean, at the moment it makes no difference if a quest takes 2.5, 5, 7.5 or 10 minutes (50%-mount) the max gold you could get is 10 mio. My suggestion: The quest lasts 2.5 minutes, then the gold will be capped at 10 mio. gold, the quest lasts 5 minutes, then the gold will be capped at 20 mio. gold, the quest lasts 7.5 minutes, then the gold will be capped at 30 mio. gold, the quest lasts 10 minutes, then the gold will be capped at 40 mio. gold. Some time ago the City Guard goldlimit was increased, before version 2.61.1085 you could only get 10 mio gold after 10 hours, since then you can make 10 mio gold per hour. The current quest gold cap causes longer quest to be worse than shorter ones, this is especially noteable during gold-event or at a higher level (400+). Yeah gold event for me is geting more and more "useless"as times goes by. Im losing maybe half of the potencial.
They should have removed that cap long time ago |

You are both quite right, but hopefully we will see a fix in the near future (Nothing official, I just suppose the devs have noted that issue as well)

The topic of gold cap has been coming back on forums for a some time now.
Nobody likes the gold cap and probably most of us would want it to be removed from the game. There is however one important factor. We get stats from gold (obviously) and from our equipment (char and toilet levels). Now it would be bad for the game if one of these sources gave a lot more then the other. Probably thats the reason we got the Smithy and it might still not be enough in the current situation (without cap changes). |
