Inactive leader of guild button

Our baby guild has no active leader.
The players want to take over that leadership since 3 weeks have past.
They asked for my help, because the new button: (inactief gildeleider afzetten) get rid of inactive guildleader (don't know the real translation) doesn't work.
They told that when they click that button, a popup came with: "you really want to get rid of your leader? The whole guild must agree with that".
When they said 'yes' there came a popup with: "you're no longer part of a guild, you can start your own".
After that they are still in there guild and nothing happened.
No other leader, still the same inactive guildleader.

What are they doing wrong, or what is wrong with that feature?

My real life friend told me the same for his guild, I guess it is a bug of some short and should be reported as such

that button no longer works. Anyone in the guild I believe can contact support and ask for the inactive guild leader to be removed I am not 100% sure but I believe it goes to the highest level active officer and from there it can be given to anyone else in the guild if he doesn't want it.

it worked. Problems occurred, so the button is disabled for now, until further notice.

yep what Carm3n said it has been disabled for abt a year now if not longer I believe.

guessing they plan on fixing and bringing back at some point is why.
