Default A % bonus idea

One thought that came to me -
since we would very much like to see various game mechanics (eg new guild raids) to have some meaning, we have asked in other threads for a % bonus somewhere.

One thing that has not really been considered (in my opinion) is to have a % discount instead of bonus - more specifically, to stat cost.

So, instead of 10M per stat point (maxed out of course), you could end up with 9M after finishing tons of additional raids (something to the tune of 0,1% discount per completed raid).

It's small enough to not be game breaking, but significant enough to make a difference. And it will not upset the balance with older players by much, since they are the ones who will benefit the most (by being in well established guilds that will go through more raids faster).

This can work to offset the fact that the 10M gold cap is not going anywhere anytime soon, apparently.

Interesting idea. It would work, even if gold cap would change in the future.

It has one big downside though - it creates a progression hill for weaker guilds and players.

Let's say it gets implemented right now. Stronger guilds get the most out of it and immediately their stat acqusition increases. At the same time weaker and newer guilds have a harder time to catch up.
It would be very disheartening to most of the player base.

Still the cost reduction idea is interesting. It would just have to be solved in the right way.

You need to balance between old players (who have already invested billions if not more gold on stats) and new players (who have not reached the gold cap yet).

In late game, you get around 12 stat points per day (correct me if I'm wrong).
Assuming you are in a guild with a capped bonus at 10% (the one I recommended), you make 13.2 points -- this becomes a significant difference only after several months of divergence.

Plus, top guild in the world have not managed to finish the new raids (yet), making it an ever smaller difference.

It generally involves a lot of balancing, however I do feel that it can significantly boost the lackluster offering of the new raids.

Yes, and my level is 438 currently, at 420 i had about 33 stats per day, and i also play for gold

Ok, I'm just not that high yet ( just dinged 390 and still playing for XP, will switch at ~392).

I am level 475 and I get about 45 points a day and I go for exp.

Just realized -- I've been talking about base increase, are you talking about total (ie after bonuses like potions, pet bonus) applied?
