I don't think that these 5 slots are the only slots. Some time ago it was said that your inventory space would be increased with the update. Maybe we get 5 + 5 and the five shown in the screenshot are used for selling and buying items in the shop. Don't quote me on that though.
 I don't know more than you at the moment.

Superb, drag items all the way up, just to buy them pfff.
Also everything displayed on character sheet at once is little distracting. Like I need to see my mount or medals to buy something. For me playa just wants to make the pc artwork similar to mobile version just to make conversion of future changes easier and pc users will pay the price.
