the first picture just states, that same bonuses get added together. like 5% more gold + 6% more gold is 11% more gold. the overview about the max stats can be found in the manual as well here.

the second comment just answers the question, if enemy's have any kind of elemental resistances, which so far they don't, but maybe new ones comming to the game will.
