Birthday Update - Official Discussion Thread

Hello heroes!

Today, we celebrate Shakes & Fidget’s 11th birthday and of course it is you who receives the presents! The party gets started with the big BIRTHDAY UPDATE! It is already live on s1.de and will be deployed to all other servers in the next few hours. It should be online worldwide at about 16 CEST.

Full list of new features, changes and fixes:

New features:

+ Guild: the new guild finder helps you find a matching guild or members for your own guild
+ Witch: you can brew potions from fruit now
+ Blacksmith: you can swap the runes of two items now
+ Town map: new to-do list which helps you with your daily tasks
+ Dungeons: 10 new mons… employees to added "The 13th Floor"
+ Underworld: the time machine in the underworld can be run with beer now
+ Shops: added new epic event decoration
+ Options: added link to revoke cookie consent (if applicable)
+ Options: ToS can be saved in PDF format now

Changes:

+ Character: your account can hold up to 10 billion gold now
+ Character: your tower companions automatically level up with you for free
+ Tavern: timer of dice game can be skipped with hourglasses now
+ Tavern, daily mission: you no longer get the mission "feed 3 pets" with maxed out pets
+ Tavern: added metal and arcane splinters as quest rewards to forest rarities event
+ Daily login calendar: resets to day 1 of a new random calendar if you miss a day or starts a new one the next day after completing all 20 days
+ Daily login calendar: new accounts don't get the calendar immediately but on the next day
+ Blacksmith: moved "change look" function to right-click context menu (unless you don’t have items with runes yet)
+ Pets: you can find event pets (e.g. epic event pet) also during an all-in-one event now
+ Pets: habitat timers no longer linked to dungeon timer
+ Fortress: lowered gold costs of buildings
+ Underworld: the time machine can be run with beer now
+ Underworld: you can only lure up to 5 heroes into your underworld now
+ Underworld: levels 1-5 of the gate determine the number of heroes you can lure, whereas additional levels add extra souls
+ Guild: limited guild pet feature to guilds with a minimum of 10 members and a level 150+ leader
+ Guild: you can attack the hydra only once a day and the hydra has only one fifth of its hit points now

Fixes:

+ Registration: avatar no longer overlaps a hero’s class in certain languages
+ Shops: the rune "total resistance" is correctly capped at 13% now (instead of 16%)
+ Dungeons: fixed a bug that displayed the wrong monster in the twister
+ Guild, apps, portrait mode: fixed a bug that instantly displayed a player’s profile instead of the list of guild members
+ Mushroom dealer: added missing x icon to close the coupon window

We will have our BIRTHDAY EVENT with all events on all servers from Friday to Sunday, which means more XP, more gold, more epic items (level 50 required), more forest rarities and a mushroom sale with +20% more mushrooms!

I've updated the manual!

Blacksmith:

lets you swap the runes of two items for 20 . If you want to change the look of an item, use the right-click context menu.

Witch:

4: Fruit to brew potions from

You can also brew potions from fruit now if you have access to Pets and all Spell Scrolls are already available on your server.
10 grapes are needed for a constitution, 10 lemons for a dexterity potion, 10 apples for an intelligence potion, 10 strawberries for a luck potion and 10 plums for a strength potion.
Use a draw and drop gesture to brew a potion.

Underworld, Time Machine:

Time Machine (max. Level 15): Time Machines don't have to be blue. This one lets you consume your unused Thirst for Adventure. The higher the Time Machine's upgrade Level, the more unused Thirst it can store. Moreover, the Time Machine produces a bonus of 1 Thirst for every upgrade (Levels 1 to 10) and even 2 for every upgrade (Levels 11 to 15).

Time Machine Level 1: 1 bonus Thirst
Time Machine Level 2: 2 bonus Thirst

Time Machine Level 10: 10 bonus Thirst
Time Machine Level 11: 12 bonus Thirst
Time Machine Level 12: 14 bonus Thirst
Time Machine Level 15: 20 bonus Thirst

You can also fill the machine with mushrooms and it will drink unconsumed tavern beers for you, up to 10 per day.

Example: you have a level 9 Time Machine which has a max. storage of 36 and produces 9 bonus Thirst. There are 4 mushrooms in the machine, you only spend 56 Thirst that day and have 44 left. Then the Time Machine stores 36 of 44 unused Thirst, produces a bonus of 9 Thirst and turns your 4 mushrooms into 80 Thirst. On the next day, you will have a total of 36+9+80 = 125 Thirst for Adventure in the Time Machine.

All stored and produced Thirst can used be after midnight.

Hint: Time Machine quests only give you Gold and XP.

Hint: The machine does not use the Spell Scroll for the 11th beer of the day.

Hint: Weekend Events don't have an effect on the Time Machine!

Underworld, Gate:

Underworld Gate (max. Level 15): You can't simply reap Souls. You need to lure heroes into the Underworld. They enter your dark empire through the Underworld Gate. The higher the upgrade Level, the more heroes you can lure every day, up to a maximum of 5. Upgrade levels 6-15 increase the soul reward you gain for defeating a hero.

You start all alone, which is neither fun nor good for you as you want to level up and become strong, right?



1: Found a new Guild for 10 or...

2: join a Guild. Check out the list of Guilds looking for Members.

3: Click a Guild to display more details and press the "Join" button if you want to become a Member.

Changing Guilds



1: The list of Members and vacancies with requirements (min. Level and language).

2: Click your name, then click the magnifier to search for vacancies while staying in your Guild.

3: Found something better? Click the red icon to leave your Guild.

Running a Guild

Looking for new Members? Only the Guild Leader is authorized to post vacancies.

2: Enter the requirements for a future Member (min. Level and in-game language). If you are looking for players from all over the world, click the globe icon.

3: Click your name, then click the magnifier to view the vacancies of other Guilds without leaving your own.

4: Click the red icon to leave your Guild.

So much to do! The To-do List helps you remember your daily tasks.



Input: via Town Map // press I key twice

The check marks are not permanent. For example, if you have two fruit and feed them to your pets, the "Zookeeper" entry is checked off. However, if you find another fruit, it becomes unchecked again.

Daily Login Bonus, calendar:

After gaining all 20 bonuses, you start a new random calendar the next day (there are 12 different calendars available). However, if you miss a day, you start on day 1 of a new calendar again. Make sure to log in on 20 consecutive days to get the free level up.

It is not live yet, so it is difficult to comment on yet...

I really like the rune swap functionality; I hope it also work across item types.
I like the calendar update which rewards active players. TBH I think it would have been better staying with the same calendar for 30 days, or until it has been completed. It would still reward the less active players with the biggest bonus: the level up on day 20,
I am looking forward to seeing the new dungeons... just dont hope it needs to load new graphics making the game even slower to launch.
I would have preferred shorter burndown time for the dice gambler. I havent had the chance to earn one single lucky coin for ages in Denmark... so using lucky coins is not an option for me at pt.

I am quite disappointed seeing the lack of attention paid to fixing bugs.

Well - and finally I love that Leander has made it to the game :-)

The runes of any item can be swapped, both of epic and normal ones.

More bugs will be fixed in the next update.

You use hourglasses to skip the timer, not lucky coins.

Some server updated at 16.00 but the new content is not live, there are only bugs everywhere.

uw attacks are messed up, no beers in the time machine, command /todo in chat leads to a bugged graphic etc etc

what happened?

If you're using a browser sometimes helps to clean the image & file cache (did it for me). If that doesn't help maybe try cleaning cookies also if your are comfortable doing so.
