Default How to speed up improvment building time

What do you think about the improvment fortress cost in terms of mushrooms?
I think that at high level, nobody (or quite nobody) will spend more than 1000 mushrooms to finish a building in 1 sec.
If it's true that Playa will grow the building level to 20, it will take really a lot of mushrooms.

It could be smart to improve a new npg or something like that (a bonus, or everything you want) that could help to speed-up the improvement.

Example: you can introduce a new kind of dungeon, like "save the daughter of the engineer" and the reward will be his gratitude: for 1 time you can reduce in order of some hour (it will be decided by Playa during beta testing) the improvment time.

What do you think aboust this concept?

To me, it seems like we can earn too much stone and wood and have nothing to use it for, as the buildings takes still longer time to build. What should we do in that period of time?
So yes - I do hope this is part of the considerations for the upgrade...

Perhaps, we should be able to spend additional resources (wood/stone) for speeding up the building?
Also, it should be possible to do things in parallel... Like
- search for gems
- have quarry/woodcutters hut still working and producing while upgrading
- train archers/soldiers and mages while their camp is upgraded

Another painfull isue is if you are building up archery for 6 days waitingtime and your fortress get breached and you cannot train achers back because of 6 days waitingtime. With higher level the waiting time goes to 8 days and longer? That is a very long time if cannot train archers and your fortress get plundered all that time.

search for gems during construction excluding upgrading mine - ok

have quarry/woodcutters hut still working and producing while upgrading - No
train archers/soldiers and mages while their camp is upgraded - no or training time significantly extended during upgrade. (remember this goes both you can farm someone who is upgrading archers/mages to)

I agree it's too expensive (for me anyway!) to use shrooms to speed up building time. But I might be prepared occasionally to spend some to buy more resources so I can START an improvement sooner. If there was an option e.g. to "fill quarry" immediately for a payment of say, 5-10 shrooms, that would make sense to me and it could generate more income for GI, which is surely what they want
